Job: Director of Sales & Marketing, Jabalpur in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh

Management of all Sales and administration associates, ensuring they are working towards achieving the hotels revenue budget for the existing and future years. Maintain close liaison with all Starwood Global Sales Offices Implement and maintain training systems to ensure that associates have the necessary framework and skills to perform their job efficiently and effectively. Prepare work schedules and annual leave schedules within budget, business expectations and guidelines of the appropriate industrial legislation. Participate in the preparation of the Strategic Business and Operating Plans. Implement opportunities for quality Team Building. Ensure that all associates comply with the grooming and uniform standards. Oversee the selection and appointment of new associates within the department. Conduct regular associate meetings to keep all associates informed. Align management style, working practices and conduct with Hotel Name Hotel s Vision, Corporate Values and policies. To comply with Brand s Code of Conduct at all times. Align plans with business strategy; understand short- and long-term impact of business decisions; demonstrate knowledge of and educate others about how ones work aligns with the overall business/brand strategy, and ultimately shareholder value Collect and analyse data to make customer focused business decisions; ensure associates understand and exceed customer expectations Understand the meaning and implications of key internal and external financial indicators; manage overall financial performance; use sound financial analysis to evaluate strategic and investment options evaluate strategic and investment options Add value through revenue growth and operational efficiency through process improvement; understand and focus on the key drivers of sales, associate and customer satisfaction, profitability, and quality Regularly review and evaluate the degree of customer acceptance of the Hotel service. Recommend to management new operating and marketing policies whenever declining or constant sales imply dissatisfaction by the customers, a material change in the make-up of the customer market, or a change in the competitive environment. Plan the use of financial resources according to departmental goals and/or control departmental costs. Requires a familiarity with most effective uses of available resources Must demonstrate an ability to set priorities, develop managerial work strategies ( using delegation, holding meetings, setting work plans etc.) schedule work, co-ordinate resources and establish feedback. Outstanding personal presentation standards Give a positive commitment to continuous improvement of product and performance. Possess, apply, and continually develop the specific technical knowledge and functional expertise needed for effective job performance Provide clear direction, establish goals and appropriate timeframes; manage conflicting priorities; delegate to and empower others; remove obstacles and secure needed resources; coordinate work efforts and monitor progress to achieve desired results in a timely fashion Represent the Hotel in trade shows, conventions and promotional events, within the hotel, the industry and customer organizations Maximise opportunities for the Hotel to be featured in brochures, travel features, directories, newsletter and other promotional material and programs. Maximise all Marketing opportunities and set Media Impression goals. Ensure the effective use of up to date technology in the sales arena Liaise with the DOFB and Exec Chef to develop and implement Food and Beverage promotions, strategies and special events. Oversee the Catering Team and ensure the creation of attractive and merchandising menus designed to attract a predetermined customer market. Oversee the Catering Team and ensure a smooth work flow process satisfying both the external and internal clients. Drive all corporate or Hotel specific programs that affect guest satisfaction and profitability in the hotel (e.g. Platinum Privilege, Starwood Preferred Guest, Preferred Planner etc.) Ensure that the property is seen as being the principle innovator in the market place and the Hotel of Choice. Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality. Oversee to ensure all guests are being treated in an efficient and courteous manner and that all Starwood standards are being applied. Prepare monthly outlook/forecast reports. With Finance, develop, recommend, implement and manage the Sales Marketing Division s annual budget, business / marketing plan, forecasts and objectives to meet / exceed management expectations. Completely understand, implement and ensure adherence to Local Labor laws and Brand policies. Be well versed and knowledgeable of Brand Fire and Evacuation procedures as well as health and safety requirements in the Workplace. Ensure Associates are aware of their duty of care as determined by legislation and that they maintain complete familiarity. Uphold the Starwood Cares culture by demonstrating the Star Service Standards at all times to guests and fellow associates. Personally ensure compliance with all relevant Workplace Health Safety and Occupational Health Safety rules, and related Brand and Starwood Policies.
