Job: Travel Republic - Web Tester - eCommerce (1-3 yrs) ..., Jabalpur in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh
We're looking to recruit a number of web based software testers to join our team.
- He/She need to have at least 1.5 years experience in software testing and a proven track record for applying the demanding level of detail that is required to ensure software quality. Ideally you will have a good university degree, but this is not essential. A good working of knowledge of SQL is required and any experience of automated testing will be very beneficial.
- As a Web Tester you will work alongside a team of professional testers and developers ensuring websites are delivered to the highest standard. This is a very fast paced environment with weekly releases so you'll need to be ready for a challenge.
- You will be responsible for analysing requirements, carrying out Test Case Design, execution and exploratory testing, and functional testing. Testing manually, selecting tests for regression and raise defect reports. If you have Automation testing it would be ideal. If you are ISEB Qualified it would be of benefit.
- We are looking for Web Testers that have at least 1.5 solid years experience, ideally with a good university degree.
- You should have a strong working knowledge of SQL. All of our development is carried out using Microsoft technology in .Net and C#, with JavaScript.
- We are looking for enthusiastic hands on individuals, with a real passion for Web Testing; someone who enjoys working to solve problems and being part of a multi-functional team.
- You will be self motivated, capable of working with limited supervision, proactively reporting on status and tasks.
- As a Web Tester you will have excellent communication skills, and able to communicate to all levels with ease.
- You should be capable of working to strict timescales and have very strong time management skills.
You will be responsible for:
- Analysing test requirements, carrying out Test Case Design, Execution, Exploratory and Functional Web Testing.
- Selecting tests for regression and raise defect reports.
- Running SQL queries to review test outcomes.
- Writing test scripts.
- Working closely with developers to ensure high quality code is tested.
- Working closely with team members in an Agile Scrum environment.
- Making a strong contribution towards maintaining an excellent level of quality in our corporate websites and systems.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- At least 1.5 years commercial software testing experience.
- Transactional, functional, manual and exploratory testing experience (Automation Testing ideal but not essential).
- A strong interest and passion for testing, with excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Self motivation, great communication and the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- An organised and logical mind, a high level of numeracy.
- A strong academic history with a good degree (or equivalent).
- Good knowledge of SQL.
- Experience of testing websites and familiar with the full Software Development Life Cycle.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent written skills, communication, time management and multi-tasking skills.
